Arsenal summer target Alexandre Lacazette has left the door open for a move away from Lyon next summer.
Lacazette was heavily linked with a move to the Emirates in the last transfer window and was the subject of a €35m bid from Arsenal, which was rejected by Lyon.
The Gunners were not the only ones interested in the player as West Ham also tabled a huge bid of about €50m to sign the striker but his club, Lyon were reluctant to sell him and rejected all bids for the striker.
The player has now given clubs who are still interested in him a ray of hope by claiming there is a possibility he will change clubs next summer.
“We will see next June what presents itself and what will offer us the best,” Lacazette told Le Progres, as quoted by Talksport.
“Loads of names of great clubs have circulated and that makes me happy. I will have to think. This summer, there were some very interesting offers.
“But the president, for the good of the club, said no. And I understand that. It might be the opposite in the future.
“He will understand that an offer could be important for the club. I am happy at Lyon. We will see this summer.”
Lacazette has made a brilliant start to the current campaign, making 11 league appearances and scoring 11 goals.
He will definitely be a great signing for us but it remains to be seen if Wenger would be interested in signing him next year after the form that Sanchez is in.
Sanchez is proving to be one of the best centre forward’s in the Premier League so far and should he maintain this superb form until the end of the season, there may not be any need to sign an expensive striker next summer.
