Arsenal are ready for a transfer fight with London rivals Chelsea in the race to land Bayer Leverkusen attacker Leon Bailey in the January transfer window, according to stories in the British media.
The Daily Mirror are suggesting that the North Londoners are keen to land the 20-year-old Jamaica star, however, are set to face great competition from the West Londoners.
The same report suggests that both Arsenal and Chelsea have been keeping a close eye on Bailey’s form for the German side so far this campaign.
The report also claims that North Londoner’s manager Arsene Wenger would see a £15m offer for Bailey as a very sound investment for Arsenal as he wants to reinforce his squad in the new year.
But, Chelsea are also believed to be keen on the attacker, with Antonio Conte probably viewing him as a long-term successor for Willian at Stamford Bridge.
The winger has netted four goals and made four assists in 13 Bundesliga games for Bayer Leverkusen so far this campaign.
Both Arsenal and Chelsea are believed to be on the race for reinforcements in the January transfer window as the two London sides look to get as close to runaway leaders Manchester City in the Premier League table as possible.
