Arsene Wenger has admitted that there will be a lot of business at the Emirates this summer, as he prepares to overhaul a squad that has disappointed this season.
With no Champions League football next season, Arsenal stars are being linked with moves away from the club but Wenger has dismissed those rumors, insisting that any player allowed to leave the Emirates will be solely the club’s decision.
Wenger also added that the club is not expected to lose any of its star players this summer.
“No, not braced to lose players”, Wenger said in a press conference on Wednesday, when asked if Arsenal are set to lose players in the summer.
“We have nobody [at the] end of [his] contract.
“That will be completely our decision.
“I believe we have a big job to do in the summer.
“We want to keep players like Alexis and all the speculations can happen.”
Indeed, Arsenal have a big job this summer and it needs to be done well. While signing top players is important, we must do well enough identify the right players and then do whatever it takes to bring them here.
Like Wenger has mentioned, keeping our key players like Sanchez and Ozil will also be important. It will be crucial to our future success.
