Arsenal have been urged to sign Manchester City Midfielder Yaya Toure by Staurt Pearce, via goal.com.

The Gunners have been linked with series of midfielders as the club plans for a major overhaul of the midfield which could see as many as three players leave the Emirates this summer.

The club have been linked with the likes of Vincent Wanyama, N’Golo Kante and Most recently Toni Kroos but former Manchester City boss Stuart Pearce has urged the Gunners to move for Yaya Toure.

Toure’s future at the Etihad has been thrown into doubt due to the pending arrival of Pep Guardiola and the Player’s agent had previously claimed the Ivorian could leave the club at the end of the season.

Staurt believes just like Petr Cech, Yaya Toure would be a good signing for Arsenal and he is exactly the kind of player the club needs.

“On his day Yaya Toure is outstanding,” Pearce told talkSPORT.

“Arsenal need an old head within the team.

“Petr Cech has proved a fantastic success this year at Arsenal, and to have a player like Toure at the centre of midfield, as that holding type of player, I think he’d give one. or two of the youngsters a bit of a lift.

“I think he’d be a good signing for them.”

We have seen some players move from the Emirates over to the Etihad in recent years and seeing Toure move the other way round will definitely excite Arsenal fans should he deliver at the Emirates.
