Arsenal are reportedly set to return to Russia in a bid to finally complete the signing of summer target, according to reports.
According to Italian media publication TMW, Arsenal will reignite their interest in landing summer target Aleksandr kokorin from Dynamo Moscow when the transfer window reopens in January.
Kokorin had been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal last summer but the move fell through, with Dynamo manager confirming the Gunner’s interest in a recent interview.
” There were substantial discussions on Kokorin, but it did not happen,” Dynamo boss Andrey Kolebev made this revelation.
“We vetoed a loan.”
“I believe that Alexander deserves more than a loan.” Kolebev added.
However, Kokorin’s agent has come out recently to reveal that his client could still join Arsenal in January, according to the Daily Mirror.
TMW further added that despite the Gunners failed loan move for the 24-year-old striker in the summer, the north London club will table a substantial offer in January for the Russian international as he remains top of Arsene Wenger’s shopping list.
