Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on bolstering his side in the January transfer window for the second half of the 2015/2016 season.
Arsenal defender Mathieu Debuchy has told his manager he wants to leave the club in January, according to the Metro.
The defender has been linked with a move out of the Emirates with Roma reportedly interested in his services, as per the Metro.
And now the Daily Mail claims the defender is set for a January transfer move after telling Wenger that he wants to leave the club.
The defender has found life difficult at the Emirates since the emergence of Hector Bellerin and he has decided his time is up at Arsenal.
Roma are reportedly interested in taking the defender on loan while Lyon is also monitoring the fullback’s situation.
Regular first team football away from Arsenal could well put the defender in contention for a place in the Les Blues squad for next summer’s European championship.
However, Gunner’s boss has refused to rule out the exit of the French international claiming it is not “impossible” for the defender to leave the club but he hope he stays.
Debuchy joined Arsenal in 2014 and has made just 12 league appearances for the North London side scoring 1 goal. Debuchy last league game for Arsenal was on the first day of the current season and since then the 30 year old is yet to make a league appearance.
