Olympic Marseille could make a move to sign Mathieu Debuchy on loan this January transfer window, according to reports.
Debuchy has featured just once for Arsenal this season and is being linked with a move away from the Emirates.
As many as four clubs have been linked with the French international already and Marseille are the latest to register their interest in the defender.
According to French newspaper Le Parisien via Inside Futbol, Marseille boss Rudi Garcia wants to sign Debuchy on loan this month.
Garcia and Debuchy worked together at Lille and the tactician is keen to reunite with the defender next month.
But the French club could face competition from the likes of Roma and Galatasaray who have been monitoring the 31 year old for quite sometime.
Debuchy is currently out with an hamstring injury, which is expected to rule him out of action until mid January and interested clubs will have to wait till he returns to action because Wenger won’t make a decision on the players future while he is out injured.
Should Debuchy complete a move back to Marseille, it will be the second time he is moving to Ligue 1 in the last two years having spent the second half of last season on loan at Boudeaux.
Although, we will have to wait and see what happens in January but I think Debuchy’s exit will depend largely on Jenkinson’s future.
Jenkinson is also being linked with a move away from the Emirates and I don’t think Wenger will want to lose two right backs in one window.
