Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger may be forced to dip into his club’s purse when the winter transfer window opens in January as a result of the serious injury Francis Coquelin suffered against West Brom.
The Frenchman will miss the remaining of the year as well as the start of the new year and the gunners are now light in the defensive midfield position.
Although, Wenger has Mikel Arteta and Matthieu Flamini to call on but the Gunner’s boss is keen on bringing reinforcement.
Arsenal were linked with Morgan Schneiderlin in the summer but Manchester United beat the North London club to the signing of the French man.
Arsene Wenger has now turn his attention to lazio’s midfielder Lucas Biglia.
Biglia is a powerful defensive midfielder who will add much needed steel and power to the gunner’s midfield.
The 29 year old will most likely cost Arsene wenger £18million, a fee which Arsene Wenger might be looking to negotiate.
Arsenal have also been linked with a number of midfielders which includes Lars Bender, William Carvalho, Grzegorz Krychowiak, Vincent Koziello and Nampalys Mendy.
Lucas Biglia has been linked with the gunners since he was in Anderlecht but Lazio moved faster than the gunner to sign the Argentine in 2013.
