Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is looking to solve his on going goalkeeping conundrum with the acquisition of Atletic Bilbao Goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga Revuelta.
The Spanish under 21 international who is currently enjoying a loan spell at Real Valladolid has produced some very impressive performances that has caught the attention of the Gunners boss according to several reports in Spain.
According to Don Balon via the Metro, the Frenchman is a big fan of the young Spaniard and is keen to bring him to North London as soon as possible.
Petr Cech is undoubtedly the first choice at the Emirates and is set to continue in goal but that however has unsettled the other goalkeepers on the Gunners books.
Wojciech Szczesny departed to AS Roma last summer in a bid to secure more regular playing time and is believed to be in negotiations about a loan extension to remain in the Italian capital while various reports have emerged that current no 2 David Ospina is also eyeing a move away from the Emirates. They can hardly be blamed as very few opportunities come the way of second choice goalkeepers.
The situation forced Wenger to look into the transfer market. The Frenchman had already been scouring the market for talented young goalkeepers.
Arrizabalaga is believed to be the keeper of Wenger’s choice, the gaffer sees him as one who could patiently learn under the 33 year old Cech with a view to later claiming the first team spot himself.
