Arsenal boss Unai Emery plot move for 22-year old powerful defender

New Gunners boss Unai Emery has reportedly started plotting transfer moves for his new team as he bids to return Arsenal back within the top four this new season.

Arsenal has shown interest in Abdou Diallo and are likely to make a concrete move for the player in the coming weeks, according to a report from The Daily Mail.

Arsenal made a move for the defender at the beginning of the season before his move from AS Monaco to Mainz. However, the club watched his progress during the period of the just concluded season.

Arsenal are determined to get back into the Champions League for the 2019/2020 season. Although, It won’t be an easy job to accomplish considering the number of top clubs currently available in the Premier League, who are also desperately fighting for a space in the top four. However, top football pundits, and sports betting sites such as kroon casino are backing the Gunners under new head coach Unai Emery to deliver the goods for Arsenal this new season and one of the positions he needs to sort out is the defence department.

Diallo’s form was impressive as he took no time to establish himself in the Bundesliga. He has also represented France in each of their domestic levels till the U21 and has managed to be amongst the most highly rated players in the domestic circuit in his country.

The young starlet is known for his aggressiveness on the pitch, his man-marking ability to close down spaces in dangerous areas and his capability of finding teammates with long balls and short passes.

Diallo has had offers from English side Arsenal and Bundesliga top side Borussia Dortmund. Arsenal seems a better choice for the 22-year-old defender, with Koscielny out till December with injury and the retirement of Per Mertesacker, the youngster would have enough playing time to prove himself worthy of a first team shirt.

It’s left for Arsenal transfer board to convince the starlet to join the club and also make a reasonable offer to Mainz.
