It seems to be third time lucky for Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger in his quest to lure a world class centre forward to the Emirates.
The Frenchman has been previously frustrated twice with his both attempts thus far. Real Madrid declared Karim Benzema untransferable last summer while Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang declared days back that he had no intention of leaving Dortmund.
According to the Metro, the Gunners are now readying an offer for Uruguayan Striker Edison Cavani after reports confirmed he had grown unhappy in Paris. The striker despite being in his third season with Paris Saint-Germain has had to make do with a wide role to accommodate Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the side.
Speaking to the media, PSG manager Blanc said: “There is a problem with Cavani’s behaviour but my job is to think of the entire squad as a collective.
“We did hold a staff meeting and among the various issues we discussed were Cavani and his complaints.
“The desires of the individual can’t affect the rest of the team. I believe that he can score here but I understand if he wants to consider other career opportunities.”
Cavani, 28,who joined PSG from Napoli for a fee believed to be around €64.5 million in 2013 has gone on to score 69 times for the French side despite having to play out wide.
