Kieran Gibbs is back on Watford’s radar after West Bromwich Albion pulled out of the race to land the Arsenal full-back, according to a story.
The 27-year-old, who has 12 months left to run on his current contract, is not a part of Gunners manager Arsene Wenger’s plans and has been told that he can leave if a proposal is made.
Gibbs seemed to be close to joining Albion earlier this month, only for Tony Pulis to declare that his side would not be seeking their initial interest after clearly having a £10m bid turned down.
It is suggested by The Sun that Premier League rivals Watford, earlier linked with the full-back in June, will now reignite their interest.
Arsenal academy product Gibbs has been capped ten times at international level for England and was used 22 occasions in all tournaments by Wenger last campaign.
Meanwhile, Arsenal star Jack Wilshere has determined that he wants to stay near London if he leaves the club this summer, according to stories.
The 25-year-old has been linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium having spent last campaign out on loan at Bournemouth, where he played 27 Premier League appearances.
The Cherries are not believed to be in the race to land Wilshere on a permanent basis, however, of the interested sides, Wilshere is believed to favour a move to West Ham United to remain close to the capital.
The Hammers have not yet made an official move for the England international, though, having already landed in Joe Hart, Pablo Zabaleta, Marko Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez this summer.
Serie A club Sampdoria and Turkish club Antalyaspor have made offers for Wilshere, however, The Independent claims that the footballer is unwilling to move abroad has turned down a loan move to Roma for similar campaigns last term.
Arsenal are reportedly holding out for a £20m offer for Wilshere, who came through the ranks at the club and has played 159 games for the senior club.
