Arsenal are among three top Premier League clubs interested in Real Madrid playmaker Isco, according to reports.
Well, Arsenal fans should be familiar with Isco by now as the midfielder has been consistently linked with a move to the Emirates in the last two transfer windows but for one reason or the other he has remained in Madrid and with the winter transfer window drawing closer again the midfielder is being linked with Arsenal again.
In the last two windows, he wasn’t anywhere near Madrid first team and it was understandable that he was being linked with a move away at that time but recently, he has managed to force his way into the first team and now that one would have expected he would work on cementing his place in Zidane’s first team, he is being linked with a January switch again.
This time, Arsenal aren’t the only club interested in the Spaniard, Chelsea and Manchester city are also mentioned and the three clubs have reportedly made offers to the midfieder’s father Paco Alarcon, who is his agent.
According to Spanish Publication Diario Gol via The Express, the three Premier League club’s offers have turned the midfielder’s head and he has now told Zidane that he is unsure of his long term future at Madrid which has now forced the Spanish giants to look into the possibility of extending the midfielder’s current deal.
With Santi Cazorla and Mesut Ozil’s long term future in doubt, I wouldn’t be surprised if Wenger is looking out for a creative player like Isco.
Isco built a reputation as one of Spain’s most talented players in his time at Malaga but has struggled to hit those heights at Madrid and has proven in the last few weeks that he still has the potential.
Personally, I think this would be a difficult one to complete and I wouldn’t put my money on it but should we happen to pull off the deal, then he will be a massive acquisition.
