Arsenal have been heavily linked with Monaco youngster Kylian Mbappe with report suggesting a £87million bid has already been rejected from Arsenal to land the teenager.

Reports suggest Arsene Wenger has made Mbappe his No.1 target this summer after a successful season at Monaco having guided them in winning the Ligue 1 ahead of Paris Saint-Germain.

However, his impressive performance has seen the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea Liverpool, Real Madrid and Arsenal all interested for his signature.

Now, reports suggest Real Madrid are favourites to land the teenager’s signature ahead of all other interested parties.

Nicol admits he would love Liverpool to sign Mbappe but is conceding defeat as Real always get the player they want.

“Liverpool’s not paying £130million if that’s the asking price, you know it’s going to be around there,” he said on ESPN FC.

“Real Madrid are paying that, he goes to Real Madrid. It’s really simple, it’s really straightforward.

“I would love to see him at Anfield, but unfortunately I might do but he will be wearing a white jersey.”
