Arsenal have reportedly stepped up their interest in signing highly gifted midfielder who is set to replace injured Jack Wilshere, according to reports.
This report is according to popular Turkish magazine Fanatik, who claim Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is keen on taking back former Gunner Oguzhan Ozyakup in January.
Ozyakup who now ply’s his trade with Turkish outfit Besiktas could be set for a dramatic return to the Emirates Stadium in January after a tremendous improvement in his abilities in the middle of the pitch.
The 23-year-old midfielder left Arsenal for Besiktas in 2012, making just one appearance for the Gunners; but has since caught the eye of several top clubs with his dazzling displays in the midfield in Turkey and is set for a shock return to replace injured Jack Wilshere in the Arsenal midfield.
The report adds that Wenger is keen on signing back Ozyakup – who has been referred to as the next Mesut Ozil, and is ready to battle other clubs for his signature in January.
