David Ospina is reportedly in advanced talks with Fenerbahce over a summer move to Turkey.

Arsenal current number-two goalkeeper Ospina wants to play regularly next year after getting frustrated at the limited chances he’s had in the last couple of years.

Yesterday, we covered a report linking the keeper with a move to turkey and now more details have emerged concerning that report.

According to The Mirror, Ospina is in talks with Fenerbahce about a £5m move in the summer.

The keeper has found it difficult to displace Petr Cech as the club’s number-one despite impressing the few times he had been called upon.

Although, Ospina still has up to two years left in his contract, Arsenal are not expected to stand on his way if he wants to leave.

The Colombian’s exit will leave Arsenal in a state of dilemma as Wenger – assuming he signs a new deal, would have to decide who would be the club’s new second choice.

Wojciech Szczesny who is on loan at AS Roma doesn’t want to return to the Emirates to sit on the bench. Cech is likely going to remain as first choice, meaning we may have to stick with Emiliano Martinez as back up.

Arsenal have been linked with Sundeland’s Jordan Pickford and Stoke City’s Jack Butland but neither of the duo would be willing to come sit on the bench here.

Cech’s recent impressive form shows he still has enough quality to be our first choice but his inconsistency means we need a quality back up to provide adequate competition for him and that’s what we had in Ospina.
