Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on bolstering his side in the January transfer window for the second half of the 2015/2016 season.
Troy Deeney’s potential January move to Arsenal has officially been ruled out by the striker himself.
The 27-year-old has been in wonderful form this season, partnering with Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo to keep the hornets in the top half of the table, and this has drawn Wenger’s attention, with the Frenchman looking to acquire his services this January, but Deeney has ruled out any possible move this winter
“No, no, no. We have still got a project to complete,” the Hornets skipper told talkSPORT.
“The pleasing thing from my point of view and from Iggy’s is people want us.
“That shows that we have been doing something right for the past five, six months.
“But we have got a project to complete and the gaffer has stated before that whatever happens in the summer, will happen in the summer.
He also revealed that his son wants him to join Arsenal “It is very flattering. My son is an Arsenal fan so he read it in the paper the other day and I don’t think he is happy that I am staying at Watford.
“He doesn’t understand that it is not FIFA and you can’t change the same day!”
