Arsene Wenger and his men travel to the Liberty Stadium to take on Gary Monk’s Swansea City side.
Arsenal’s injuries continue to pile up with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott now ruled out having suffered hamstring and calf injuries during the midweek Capital One cup loss at Sheffield Wednesday.
Wenger could now be forced to shift either Mesut Ozil or Santi Cazorla to the flanks for the trip to Swansea, with Mathieu Flamini in line to be recalled in central midfield. Alternatively, youngsters Alex Iwobi and Joel Campbell offer solutions to fill the void on the right wing, while Wenger has also suggested that either Kieran Gibbs or Hector Bellerin could be deployed in attacking roles, with Mathieu Debuchy earning a start at right-back should the latter be the chosen option.
Elsewhere at the back, Per Mertesacker will hope for a recall ahead of Gabriel after missing last weekend’s win over Everton through illness. Up front, Walcott’s absence should see Olivier Giroud retain his start at the head of the attack against the Swans.
Danny Welbeck, Tomas Rosicky and Jack Wilshere remain on the sidelines through injury. Mikel Arteta and David Ospina also miss out with ankle and shoulder injuries respectively.
Having said this, here is how Wenger is expected to line-up his side against the Swans.
