Corentin Tolisso has seem destined to move to Juventus for some time. The Italian press repeatedly said so and, perhaps more importantly, were joined by their French colleagues to makes a consensus – Tolisso would be leaving Lyon for Juventus.
Whilst that move still remains a possibility, the chances are slipping, according to L’Equipe. The French newspaper says Juventus aren’t as interested as they once were, and now clubs like Arsenal, Napoli, and Inter Milan are circling.
Tolisso has already turned down a move to Napoli, so it could be considered he wouldn’t be keen on them again. Any transfer would have to be at over €30m, believe L’Equipe, which doesn’t sound too big a fee for the 22 year old.
Recently debuting for France, Tolisso wants to play for a club who can give a pre-World Cup platform. Champions League would be preferable, and Arsenal still have a shout of providing that.
Tolisso is very much a central midfielder, and would be moving to Arsenal to perform that role in a starting place.
If Arsene Wenger’s interest is genuine, and L’Equipe have been pretty good on Arsenal claims down the years, then it shows Wenger is planning to shake-up his central midfield.
