Arsenal are keeping a close watch on former Barcelona star Nolito, according to reports in Spain.
According to popular Spanish media outlet Fichajes, the Gunners are keen on bringing Celta Vigo forward Nolito to the Emirates Stadium in the winter transfer window.
The report claims Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been closely monitoring the striker who has been in superb form in the La Liga this season, with intent to swoop in for the player in January.
The 28-year-old Spanish international forward has started the 2015/2016 season with a bang, scoring five goals in seven La Liga appearances for Celta Vigo this season.
This has seen the former Barcelona star linked with a January transfer move to a handful of suitors across Europe.
The report added that Wenger is uncertain about Welbeck’s fitness for the second half of the season, coupled with the event of an injury to either of Walcott or Giroud; and he would be looking to bring in more firepower as he looks to battle for the Premier League title.
