Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on bolstering his side in the January transfer window for the second half of the 2015/2016 season.
Arsenal have been given the all clear to seal a transfer for Barcelona youngster Sergi Samper for £4.4 Million, according to reports.
Arsenal would be without Francis Coquelin and Jack Wilshere for the better part of the season due to long term injuries with Mikel Arteta and Tomas Rosicky.
According to the Daily Express, Barcelona are ready to let the talented youngster to leave the Nou Camp if their asking price is met and that asking price is in the region of £4.4 Million.
The Gunners have stolen Barcelona best youngsters in the past; the Gunners signed Cesc Fabregas when he was relatively young, he later returned to join Barcelona again before joining premier League rivals Chelsea last year. Hector Bellerin is the other young talent snatched from Barcelona.
Both clubs play similar brand of football; the smooth passing and penetrating way, making it easier for both team to sell players to each other and the players would fit in seamlessly into his new environment. When Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry left the Emirates to join Barcelona at the Nou Capm, it was as if he had been with the team for years.
Sergi is a player for the future and would be a wonderful addition to the Gunners squad if he can be signed from the Catalan giants in the January transfer window as a midfield cover for the injured Arsenal players.
