Arsenal star David Ospina is in advanced talks with Fenerbahce over a summer transfer, according to reports.
The Columbia shot stopper wants to play regularly and is keen on a move to a club that would offer him such opportunities.
He has failed to displace Cech as Arsenal’s first choice goalie and now wants a move to where he’ll play week in week out. He’s been linked with a move to Turkey in recent weeks, with Galatasaray and Fenerbahce both said to be battling to sign him.
However, The Mirror are claiming it is Fenerbahce who are leading the race to sign the goalkeeper.
The Turkish side are now in advanced talks with the Colombian and a £5m deal could be completed in the next few weeks.
Ospina joined Arsenal for £3.4m in 2014 but he has failed to secure the number one spot. Although losing a quality back up goalkeeper like him will not be easy to take, Arsenal could take relief from the fact that we are set to make a profit of £1.6m despite the Colombian not being a starter.
He has featured in 14 games for Arsenal this term, with just two of those coming in the league. The FA cup triumph against Chelsea on Saturday now looks like what’s going to be his last game as a Gunner.
