According to Sports, Barcelona attacking midfielder Arda Turan has been told that he can leave when the January transfer window opens.
The same source claims that Turan, Aleix Vidal and Vermaelen all of them have been told they can leave over the winter transfer window.
Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde reportedly wants to make his squad a bit lighter.
Turan has an offer from China but he is not interested in moving to the Far East.
The 30-year-old winger has yet to make a single appearance this season but his current contract expires after three years.
A source close to Arda Turan claims to Turkish-Football that former Atletico Madrid player is happy at Barcelona and that he would only consider the Premier League transfer as an alternative destination.
Turan has been linked with Arsenal and Turkey national team manager Mircea Lucescu confirmed that the north London club have already made an offer.
Lucescu spoke to Valverde about the experienced winger about Turan.
Lucescu said in the interview, “I spoke to Valverde and Arsenal made Arda an offer.”
“Arda was on the verge of joining the Gunners this summer but it did not go through.”
Arda Turan joined Barcelona in summer of 2015 from Atletico Madrid for a €34m reported transfer fee. He has played in 56 games so far and scored 15 goals for the club. The Turkey international won the La Liga and Copa del Rey cup with the Catalan giants.
