Arsenal are reportedly considering a summer transfer approach for AC Milan striker M’Baye Niang in case Alexis Sanchez ends up leaving the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners could be a little light up front next season if Sanchez does walk away from the club over an ongoing contract dispute, with Olivier Giroud unlikely to be trusted as first-choice up front again.
Sanchez has largely replaced Giroud as Arsenal’s main centre-forward this season, and Arsene Wenger would look to move for a new signing in that area if the Chilean did decide to move on.
Despite some patchy form over the last couple of seasons, Milan starlet Niang remains a highly-rated talent and one that Arsenal would apparently be ready to swoop for.
Mundo Deportivo claim that the north Londoners hold an interest in the 22-year-old Frenchman, who has been linked several times with Premier League clubs in the past.
Niang has three goals so far this season and hasn’t found the back of the net since October, so Arsenal fans may be concerned that their club are not aiming high enough with this particular transfer target.
