The France international defender has been at Emirates Stadium since 2010 but is planing to return to Lorient before hanging up his boots
Laurent Koscielny has his exit from Arsenal planned out, with the defender intending to finish his career at Lorient.
The France international has been with the Gunners since 2010, when Arsene Wenger moved to snap up a relatively unknown talent for £8.45 million.
Koscielny has been a model of consistency throughout his time in north London and is showing no sign of slowing down at the age of 32.
He penned a new contract with the Gunners in January, which is set to take him through to 2020, but there is a desire on his part to head home before hanging up his boots.
“He told me last week in London that he wanted to finish his career at Lorient,” president of the Ligue 1 outfit, Loic Fery, told Canal+ Sport .
With a deal in place at Emirates Stadium and plenty more football left in him yet, Lorient are aware that they are going to have to play a waiting game.
“I hope he has a few more years playing at Arsenal,” added Fery.
Koscielny previously spent just one year on the books at Lorient before being snapped up by Arsenal.
