Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is looking to bolster his squad with additions rather than departures and has expectedly rejected a loan offer for one of his senior players, who is yet to make an appearance for the Gunners this season.
Arseblog News reports that Gunners boss Wenger has rejected the idea of Valencia head coach Gary Neville taking Jack Wilshere on loan at the Mestalla for the remainder of the current season after an approach by the Spanish side.
The former Manchester United right back has come under huge pressure since his appointment in Spain back in December. The Englishman who has already overseen Valencia’s elimination from the group stages of the Champions League is yet to taste victory in the La Liga and is understandably seeking to recruit new players with Wilshere believed to be high on his list.
Wilshere who is yet to play for Arsenal this season due to a freak injury picked up in training just days before the Community Shield win against Chelsea is well-known by Neville who is also part the England coaching setup. He is of the belief that he could help Wilshere return to full fitness and guarantee him a run of games that would see him cement his place in the England squad for the upcoming Euro championship.
Wenger is however believed to be having none of it as he believes Wilshere still has a role to play in the Gunners title challenge this season.
