Arsenal vs Tottenham Hotspurs

Kick-off scheduled for 12:30pm

Saturday, November 18

Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal will host bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspurs this weekend in the north London derby, but the big questions remains who will both managers field?

Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs have started the season brightly by qualifying for the Champions League last-16, but sit eight points behind Premier League leaders Manchester City in the title race.

Arsenal are even further behind Spurs as Arsene Wenger’s men trail City by 12 points, sitting sixth after losing four of their opening 11 League games to put pressure on their long-serving manager.

The clash of the two north London rivals at the Emirates Stadium is seriously heating up with pundits and football betting sites backing Arsenal to win the match at 29/30.

Arsenal Team News

French striker Olivier Giroud is a major doubt for Arsenal after suffering a thigh injury which he picked up on international duty, however, it’s unlikely for him for him to start ahead of Alexandre Lacazette.

Rob Holding is unlikely to return, but there is more hope for David Ospina and Shkodran Mustafi, while Santi Cazorla remains a long-term absentee.

Tottenham Team News

Tottenham are facing an injury crisis ahead of the north London derby, with a number of key players currently out of action.

Goalkeepers Hugo Lloris and Michel Vorm are both out along with defenders Toby Alderweireld (hamstring) and Jan Vertonghen (ankle), while Victor Wanyama is still battling to return – Vertonghen should recover in time, though Lloris faces a race to be fit.

Dele Alli is expected to be back in time ahead of the trip to the Emirates Stadium despite the midfielder pulling out of England’s recent squad for the November international break.

Harry Kane is still out injured with a (knee) problem and Harry Winks (ankle), as both stars are unlikely to start having departed from Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions squad due to injury setbacks, though the striker will return against Arsenal provided he suffers no further problems.
