Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on bolstering his side in the January transfer window for the second half of the 2015/2016 season.
Recent reports indicate that Arsenal are planning a shock move for Watford skipper Troy Deeney, according to reports.
Arsenal Boss is said to be a big fan of the powerhouse striker who has scored 6 times in 11 Premier league appearances, although most of his strike came from the penalty spot.
Deeney has formed a solid striking relationship with fellow striker and Nigerian international; Odion Jude Ighalo who is one of the leading goal scorers in the Premier league this term.
Deeney and Ighalo are two invaluable assists to Watford In their need to stay and boost their chances of retaining their Premier League status for next season.
The Gunners need another striker and are prepared to swoop for the Watford captain in the January transfer window by placing a bid of £20 Million to tempt Watford.
Watford coach Flores had insisted that neither Deeney nor Ighalo is for sale and Deeney himself stated last month when speculation linking Ighalo with a move away was heavy that ‘’The value of selling Odion is worth £20- £25 Million, that the price of staying up in the Premier League is worth £200 Million.
The Gunners would have to look elsewhere to beef up their team as Deeney is keen on keeping Watford in the Premier League rather than moving away midway through the season.
Arsenal have been linked to Edinson Cavani, Javier Hernandez and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang in recent times; it is yet to be seen who will finally sign for the Gunners after capturing Mohamed Elneny from Basel as a direct replacement for Francis Coquelin.
