Spanish heavyweight Real Madrid have joined Arsenal in the race to sign Uruguayan forward Edison Cavani.
Reports had suggested the striker had grown unhappy in Paris. The striker despite being in his third season with Paris Saint-Germain has had to make do with a wide role to accommodate Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the side.
Speaking to the media, PSG manager Blanc confirmed Cavani’s frustrations saying: “There is a problem with Cavani’s behaviour but my job is to think of the entire squad as a collective.
“We did hold a staff meeting and among the various issues we discussed were Cavani and his complaints.
“The desires of the individual can’t affect the rest of the team. I believe that he can score here but I understand if he wants to consider other career opportunities.”
The Gunners see the opportunity to land him and were reported to be readying an offer. Madrid have now joined the chase, Real president Florentino Perez wants to bring the forward to the Bernabau but needs to raise funds to do so.
According to A Bola via the Metro he is willing to let United buy Kroos to fund a deal. Madrid is understood to be pushing for a deal now in case their ban is not overturned and they are unable to sign the striker in the summer.
Cavani, 28,who joined PSG from Napoli for a fee believed to be around €64.5 million in 2013 has gone on to score 69 times for the French side despite having to play out wide.
