Real Madrid could join Arsenal and Liverpool in the race to sign Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno, according to reports.
The German shot stopper was recently linked with a move to Arsenal but Spanish publication Okdiario via The Hard Tackle claims Real Madrid have joined the race to sign the shot stopper.
Leno has established himself as one of Bundesliga’s top goalkeepers since he moved to the Bay Arena in 2011 and his superlative performances is set to win him a move to one of Europe’s top clubs.
The 24 year old has been one of Leverkusen’s best players this season despite his team’s inconsistent form and he appears to have done a lot to get big clubs circling around him.
Last week, it was claimed that Wenger sees him as a potential successor to Petr Cech and would make a move for his services in the next transfer window but we are set to face competition from Real Madrid who have added him to its wish list.
The Spanish giants are in search of a goalkeeper to replace Keylor Navas as first choice and are linning up a move for Beno as an alternative to Thibaut Courtois and David De Gea.
Madrid’s interest in Beno could now complicate things for Arsenal but I don’t think there is any need for us to worry. If truly we are in search of a new goalkeeper, there are numerous options like Jordan Pickford and even our own Wojciech Szczesny that we can turn to if we miss out on the Leverkusen man.
