Manchester United could turn their attention to Arsenal target Alexandre Lacazette, according to reports.
The French striker is believed to be top of Arsenal’s wish list but Wenger is yet to firm up his interest.
Although Arsenal current lead the race to sign the £50m rated striker, L’Equipe says we could face serious competition from Manchester United later.
According to the report, The Red Devils are in constant contact with Lacazette representatives over a possible move to Old Trafford. Mourinho is ready to turn his attention to the French striker if he fails to sign his top target Alvaro Morata.
Chelsea are also believed to be adopting a similar approach like United and are keeping tabs on Lacazette if they fail to sign Romelu Lukaku.
Lacazette was close to joining Atletico Madrid last month but the Spanish club’s transfer ban means he will not be able to play for them until January, which would scupper his chances of making France’s World Cup squad. Hence the reason a move to Spain fell through.
Now, Arsenal are the most advanced club in the race to sign the French forward, It remains to be seen whether we will successful fight off competition from rival clubs for his services.
