Gabon international striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has given a telling response to speculation surrounding his future.
Aubameyang has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal, with the Premier League side making a £50.9million.
According to German newspaper Bild, Aubameyang was asked if he would be staying at Dortmund.
But the Gabon international, who was in his car, opted to avoid answering the question and drove away.
And Aubameyang’s non-answer will only increase speculation about Aubameyang’s future.
An Arsenal delegation including chief executive Ivan Gazidis, chief scout Sven Mislintat and contract negotiator Huss Fahmy have been in Dortmund for talks but no deal has been agreed.
Dortmund are understood to want £61.5m for the 28-year-old which Arsenal are reluctant to meet.
Speaking yesterday, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was asked if he was confident of completing a deal for Aubameyang and replied: “Confident or not confident, I don’t know.
“You never know how close you are.
“This is the kind of thing – he is one of the possible movements, but we have other things in mind as well. We have plenty of opportunities and the final decision is not made.
“At the moment we are not close to any deal, Aubameyang or anybody else.”
