Arsenal have been told it will cost £90m to sign Ousmane Dembele, according to reports.
The Spanish media on Wednesday claimed Arsenal had a bid rejected for the talented Winger who is believed to be one of Europe’s most sought after youngsters.
Sport Bild via Sports Mole have now revealed that Dembele’s suitors have been informed that it will take €100m (£90m) to sign the tricky winger.
Barcelona are also interested in the winger as a replacement for Neymar and the Bundesliga giants believe that the Spanish club has more than enough to spend after getting €222m from the Brazilian’s sale.
Also, English clubs have had to pay outrageous fees for players abroad because of the money in the Premier League and that coupled with Barcelona Neymar’s sale may have encouraged BVB to set Dembele’s price tag so high.
Arsenal are actively seeking a new winger and with negotiations for Monaco’s Lemar dragging on, one wouldn’t blame Wenger for looking at Dembele. But with the price being quoted for Dembele, it would be to focus all our attention on striking an agreement with Monaco.
Dembele’s goalscoring and creative exploits makes him one of the most talented young winger’s in Europe but £90m for a 20 year old sounds irrational. Wenger wouldn’t spend that much even if he was our top target.
