According to a report in Turksvoetbal, the Gunners, are set to table a bid for Fenerbahce’s Danish International centre-back Simon Kjaer.

The Gunners will battle Serie A giants AC Milan and Inter Milan, who have reportedly tabled bids for the Danish International centre-back.

Reports suggest Arsenal have offered €2million more than the Italian side who have both offered Fenerbahce €10million for his signature.

However, none of them have matched up with Fenerbahce’s valuation of the player. The report goes on to state that Kjaer has a €15 million release clause inserted into his contract and the Yellow Canaries will not let him go for anything lesser than that.

The fifth-placed Gunners conceded 44 Premier League goals last season, 18 more than Tottenham in second and 15 more Manchester United who collected six fewer points.

Kjaer’s current deal runs until June 2019 but they appear to have already lined up a replacement in Barcelona man Jeremy Mathieu.
