Olivier Giroud has revealed that he could move to Marseille in the future.
The forward who was signed from French club Montpeiller in 2012 was linked with a return to his homeland earlier in the season.
Since Giroud signed a new deal at Arsenal in January, those reports have died down but he has now revealed he will consider joining his former club rivals in the future.
However the striker didn’t fail to mention that he is happy at the Emirates for now and intends to honor the full length of his contract which expires in 2019.
“Marseille? One day, why not?, as quoted by The Daily Star.
“You must never say no, but my short-term and mid-term future, I see it in England.
“That’s why I renewed with Arsenal until 2019”.
Since moving to Arsenal, Giroud has been a first team regular, albeit this season, scoring 65 goals in 152 appearances.
He has divided fans opinion about him in equal measure with his performances but he is beginning to win more of the supporters to his side this season with his superb contribution to the team off the bench.
Giroud has already revealed he wants to win his place in the staring xi back but should he struggle to do that, a move to Marseille could happen sooner rather than later.
