Arsene Wenger may be able to call upon Alexis Sanchez for the trip to Stoke, with the Chilean close to a return to first-team action following a hamstring injury.
Sanchez would likely replace Joel Campbell in the starting XI should he be up to starting if Wenger looks to freshen things up, with Theo Walcott perhaps more secure on the opposite flank. Olivier Giroud is expected to continue as the lone striker for the Gunners.
Mathieu Flamini is likely to start alongside Aaron Ramsey in the double-pivot once more in Wenger’s standard 4-2-3-1 formation, with the back four of Hector Bellerin, Per Mertesacker, Laurent Koscielny and Nacho Monreal also expected to remain unchanged.
Gabriel and Kieran Gibbs do offer quality back-up, though. New signing Mohamed Elneny is available for selection and offers another option in the centre of the park at the Britannia but would seem likely to be named on the bench at best.
Danny Welbeck, Jack Wilshere, Francis Coquelin, Santi Cazorla and Tomas Rosicky all remain on the sidelines for the Gunners.
Having said this, here is how Wenger is expected to lineup his side against Stoke City.
