Arsenal goalkeeper Ryan Huddart has returned to the Emirates from non-league side Eastleigh, according to the Daily Star.

The young goalkeeper joined Eastleigh on a season long loan last summer but the deal has been cut short with the player returning to the Emirates.

The youngster made seven appearances over the course of six months but he willl now have to continue his development here.

A statement on Eastleigh official website read:

“We would like to thank Ryan for his efforts and also Arsenal Football Club for offering us the opportunity to take the highly rated goalkeeper on loan.

“We wish Ryan all the best for the rest of his career.”

It is unknown why Arsenal decided to activate the recall clause in the loan deal but it’s most likely because we were not satisfied with the amount of minutes he has played so far.

It is not like the youngster will have any role to play in our first team due to the presence of Petr Cech, David Ospina and Emiliano Martinez.

Although the lad is yet to make his debut, he is not a stranger to the first team and has been part of the match day squad on numerous occasions.

It will be interesting to find out Wenger’s plans for the youngster but it’s likely he will continue his development with the U23 for now.
