Arsenal have been handed a massive transfer boost in their pursuit of key summer target.
The Gunners can finally sign long time target Alexandre Lacazette, after talks to extend his contract at his current club broke down.
According to the Telegraph, Lyon star Alexandre Lacazette has been offered to Arsenal for just €30million.
This report is coming after Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas had earlier stated that Arsenal would have to spend in excess of €70million to sign the French striker.
“I haven’t even imagined exactly how much clubs would have to put on the table to convince me to allow Lacazette and Fekir to leave.” Aulas said some weeks ago when asked on the future of Lacazette.
But fresh reports claim the Ligue 1 outfit are now willing to accept €30million for the hitman who scored 31 goals in 40 games, after talks over a new contract broke down recently.
Also, Lacazette’s agent David Venditelli has confirmed that he and his client have received ‘significant’ offers from abroad, with the 24-year-old keen to join a Champions League club.
Arsenal are in search of a proven striker in front of goal to bring both support and competition to Olivier Giroud next season, and Lacazette perfectly fits the bill.
