Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on bolstering his side in the January transfer window for the second half of the 2015/2016 season.
Arsenal will complete the signing of Mohamed Elneny in time for him to feature in his first game against struggling Sunderland on Saturday, according to Daily Express.
The Gunners have agreed to a fee of £7.4 Million for the Egyptian international midfielder and the player has additional completed his medical with the club; the only barrier is the work permit and international clearance which the club are currently handling.
Should the Gunners secure the work permit and international clearance then register the player before noon of Friday, reports claim Wenger will throw him straight into action against Sunderland in Saturday’s FA Cup third round tie at the Emirates.
The 23 year old is vastly talented and is seen as a star for the future but with this opportunity at Arsenal, it won’t be long before his name would become crowd favourite. The midfielder was brought in to deputise in the Gunners midfield with series of injuries already side lining many of the first choice midfield players such as Jack Wilshere, Santi Carzola, Mikel Arteta, Tomas Rosicky, Francis Coquelin etc.
El Nenny could utilise this opportunity to hold on to the defensive midfield position properly by putting in great performances; who knows he may end up putting Coquelin on the bench just like Bellarin did to Mathieu Debuchy.
