Wolfsburg chief Klaus Allofs has revealed that they could sell long-time Arsenal target Julian Draxler in the winter transfer window.
Arsenal and Paris Saint Germain were reportedly interested in signing Draxler in the last transfer window but Wolfsburg were not willing to sell the winger.
Reports at that time claimed Arsenal were close to signing the winger in a £50m but Wolfsburg stood their ground and forced the German to remain at the Volkswagen Arena against his wishes.
It appears the summer interest in the winger has gotten into his head as he has struggled to replicate his superb form of last season.
The 23 year old is arguably in the worst form of his life, he has not scored in nine Bundesliga games and Allof has revealed they could consider selling him in the winter transfer window.
He told Sport1, as quoted by The Daily Star: “We’ll evaluate the situation differently, and we may do things differently next time.
“Does this mean letting him [Draxler] leave? Potentially.”
We are unsure if Wenger will renew his interest in the winger in January but it will be interesting to keep an eye on his situation.
Draxler is a player with so much potential and it will be worth taking a gamble to sign him especially as he will cost a lot less this time around.
On his day, he will be a great asset to our squad and a move away from Wolfsburg could just be the spark he needs to find his best form again. Over to you Arsene!
