Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on bolstering his side in the January transfer window for the second half of the 2015/2016 season.
Arsenal’s move for Granit Xhaka is still on the cards after his agent refused to rule out a Premier League move.
Xhaka who has been a long term target for the Gunners has been impressive for Borussia Monchenglabach this season in the Bundesliga and has attracted the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool who are in need of midfield strengthening ahead of the second half of a tough season in the Premier League.
His agent –who is also his father, has however refused to rule anything out “At the moment I prefer not to say too much”
“We will see what happens. I can say that several big clubs are interested. Everything is possible, we’re not ruling anything”
Arsenal are expecting to announce Elneny’s signing soon, but midfield will still be short, with Francis Coquelin, Santi Cazorla and Jack Wilshere all out with long term injuries. The 23-year-old Swiss international represents a very quality and experienced replacement.
