Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on bolstering his side in the January transfer window for the second half of the 2015/2016 season.
Arsenal midfielder Isaac Hayden who can also operate as a central defender has returned to the Emirates after six months at Hull City, according to the Metro.
The midfielder joined Hull City on a season long loan last summer but lack of first team football has seen the player return back to his parent club earlier than expected.
The midfielder has been a regular in Hull’s Capital One Cup tournament but he is yet to start a game in the league since September. Arsenal then Utilized the clause in the contract to enable them recall the midfielder back home.
Speaking to the press, Hull City’s manager confirmed the player’s return to the Emirates, saying:
“Isaac wants to play and I haven’t been able to play him enough,” said Bruce.
“The form of Meyler and Livermore has been excellent so he’s found himself restricted.
“I’m disappointed and sad that we’re losing him because I do believe he could have played a big part in the second half of the season but he wants to play now.
“I can’t give him that. He goes back with our best wishes. It hasn’t really worked out for him because of other players in form.
“When we signed Isaac I was expecting to be without Livermore and he’s similar in the way he plays. Jake coming back into the fold has limited his opportunities.”
The midfielder has featured just 12 times for the Tiger’s this season in all competitions.
