CONFIRMED By Boss: Star Player Set To Make SHOCK Return From Injury Against Sunderland

Arsenal have received a big injury boost ahead of this weekend clash against struggling Sunderland in the FA Cup and in the running to keep hold of top spot in the league where they currently lead second placed Leicester City by 2 points.

Star player, Mikel Arteta is set to make his return since suffering an injury that has kept him out for several weeks.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger personally confirmed this in his pre-match conference ahead of the FA Cup clash on Saturday.

The Gunners would be looking to ease past Sunderland in the FA Cup as they chase a third straight title having won the last two previous editions and Arteta would be key in their quest to lifting any trophy this season but he needs to stay fully fit which is why it’s highly unlikely for him to start the game against Sam Allardyce’s men at the Emirates on Saturday, but he may be involved as the game progresses.

The Spaniard was involved in the Gunners U21 victory recently and would be available for selection against Sunderland.
