Premier League rivals Liverpool have reportedly move ahead of Arsenal and Real Madrid in the race to sign top Bundesliga forward Marco Reus.

According to reports, Arsenal could be beaten to the signature of Reus as Liverpool have reportedly made contact with Borussia Dortmund over the transfer of the highly gifted forward this summer.

The Metro claim the Reds are keen on bringing the 26-year-old star to the Premier League despite signing quite a handful of stars already this summer.

Reus has been a long time target for Arsene Wenger, with reports claiming the French boss failed in several attempts to secure the players services.

However, fresh reports now claim Liverpool are set to test the player’s resolute and have made contacts with the club over the transfer of the £47.8million rated star.

This report has further been confirmed by popular Italian journalist Tancredi Palmer who says Liverpool have made contact with BVB. He added however, that no bid has been made yet but the Reds appear keen on the deal to happen.
