AC Milan are considering tabling a bid for Laurent Koscielny this summer.
This is according to French outlet Telefoot [via The Daily Cannon,] which claim Milan have identified Koscielny as a priority target this summer.
Despite it being obvious that Arsenal would not sell its best defender, Milan are prepared to bid for the 31 year old.
The France international signed a new deal last season as a reward for his consistent performances at the heart of the defense.
He was one of Arsenal’s key players throughout the campaign and stood in excellently as skipper while Per Mertesacker missed the majority of the season with a knee injury.
Milan’s interest in the defender is laughable because why on earth they think Arsenal would listen to an offer for the defender is baffling.
Surprisingly, it isn’t only Milan, Manchester City and Marseille are also credited with interest in the defender.
Koscielny has become an important player at Arsenal since joining from Lorient in 2010 and has also established himself as one of the Premier League’s top defenders.
Judging by his performances last season and the long-term contract he still has at the club, it is unlikely that Arsenal would sell him this summer. Not now, when Wenger is looking to rebuild the squad.
