Arsenal are set to complete their second signing of the summer in the person of 21 year old attacking midfielder Aleksandr Golovin.
The Russian youngster’s has suddenly appeared in the headlines of Arsenal transfer runours this month, with reports claiming the deal as good as done.
However, there is a plot twist in that Golovin reportedly faces being loaned back to CSKA Moscow after signing for Arsenal this summer.
The midfielder is closing in on a £10 million deal, and many fans see this move as a lack of intent from Arsenal to bring in big name players to challenge for silverwares next season.
But according to Russian journalist Kazak Kovllya, the 21-year-old could go back to CSKA on loan before joining the Gunners permanently.
He disclosed the details surrounding the move via Twitter.
In my own opinion, this signing is more of a market and business strategy than any other thing – a replica of Takasumo Asano transfer signing last summer.
