Fenerbahce have renewed their interest in Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina, according to Turkish football.

The Colombia international is one of Arsenal’s three world class goalkeepers, according to Wenger and He’s  one who was assigned to cup competitions. He featured in all our Champions League and FA Cup games except our quarterfinal game against Lincoln City.

Although, the goalkeeper has conceded 17 goals in the 11 games he’s played this season, he has been hugely impressive between the sticks.

However, like every top goalkeeper, the Colombian is not satisfied with sharing duties with Cech and wants to play more.

He is expected to hold talks with Wenger over his future at the end of the season and should he not get any guarantee over increased playing time, he could push for an exit.

Ospina has been impressive since he joined us in 2014 and wouldn’t be short of suitors if Arsenal decides to let him leave.

Several clubs were interested in his services last summer but he opted to stay and fight for a place in Wenger’s starting xi, which I think he has done admirably.

Fenerbahce who are long-term admirers of the goalkeeper will try to sign him again when the transfer window opens.

Ospina’s contract expires in the summer of 2019, which means we can still afford to keep him here against his wish for one more season but that would be detrimental to our squad morale.

It remains to be seen what Wenger wants to do but whatever decision the player and the manager takes at the end of the season, we can only hope it’s the best decision for Arsenal FC.
