Arsenal are on the lookout for top quality players ahead of next season.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is planning a major title push next season and the boss is aware of the need to bring in only the best in the summer to achieve his target.
Wenger himself confirmed he would sign only “top players” in the summer, and this has seen the club linked to an avalanche of star players in recent weeks.
Arsenal’s Wellington Silva has put pen to paper on a new contract that will keep him at Arsenal beyond 2016 when his previous contract was to expire.
The forward would be loaned out to an English club like Carl Jenkinson (who recently rejoined West Ham), with a number of Premier league and Championship teams on alert.
The 22 year old who has been an Arsenal player since 2011 after joining from Brazilian side Fluminese for £3.5m just recently gained a British work permit and would be loaned to an English club to allow him adapt to the English game.
He has spent the last couple of years on loan at various Spanish clubs turning out forLevante, Alcoyano, Ponferradina, Real Murcia and Almeria, in an attempt to gain work permit.
After making 31 appearances with just 11 starts for Almeria last season, he won’t be able to be part of a first team that includes stars like Alexis, Welbeck, and Theo Walcott among others, hence the need for more experience.
The new contract is a show of confidence in the Wellington who has 11 caps at u17 level for Brazil and 2 caps at u21 level, and he will join the likes of Jenkinson, Yaya Sanogo and Ainsley Maitland Niles, who have been loaned out to gain more experience
