Arsenal set to complete second signing of the season
Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on bolstering his side in the January transfer window for the second half of the 2015/2016 season.
Arsenal are set to complete the signing of Leicester City youngster Ben Chilwell next week according to reports.
The Gunners have been tracking Ben Chilwell for a while with view of adding him to their squad in preparation for when Monreal finally gets past his peak.
The young left back who has not made a single first team appearance for Leicester is currently on loan at Huddersfield Town where he is impressing fans, coaches and scouts, drawing interests from Liverpool and Chelsea, but the Gunners look to have moved ahead of the two clubs and have opened talks with Leicester City, with the deal set to be completed next week.
Chilwell 19, would most likely be loaned out to gain first team experience, with competition at the Emirates too much in that position. Keiran Gibbs and Nacho Monreal already occupy the position, and Wenger seems certain not to risk using youths in his title push.
Arsenal are reported to be finalizing the details of Basel’s Elneny deal, Ben Chilwell deal would be the second deal of what Wenger promises would be a busy window.
