Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on bolstering his side in the January transfer window for the second half of the 2015/2016 season.
Arsenal wonderkid Gideon Zelalem has extended his loan spell at Scottish side Rangers till the end of the season.
The 18-year-old initially joined the Gers on a 6-month loan deal last summer. But after an incredible six months where he has assisted 7 times in 16 appearances, the club became interested in extending his stay, with Manager Warburton stating his desire to keep the USA U23 international back in December.
“I hope he is very much enjoying it, the relationships between the clubs are good and I hope very much that we can keep him.
“We always talk with Arsenal and we talk about how he is progressing; they watch him every game.
The loan deal has now been extended till the end of the season, and Zelalem would hope to continue to make more first team appearances to add to his 12 league appearances in the Scottish Championship.
Rangers currently lie at the top of the Scottish Championship with Zelalem playing a key role in their stay there, the experience of fighting for promotion and lifting the Championship title will go a long way in the maturity of the midfielder who is seen as the future of Arsenal.
